A bit about Andre
Andre de Cavaignac is an entrepreneurial software engineer in New York City. He started his career at the age of 18, moving to New York City from Boston to explore his interests in software and business.
Andre has expertise in Microsoft technologies, specializing in Windows HPC/grid computing, real-time client/server applications and Tablet PC development. His development experience is focused in .NET 3.5 and server-side development. He also has a vast amount of experience in client-side WPF and ASP.NET, as well as Ajax development. He currently works developing financial applications on behalf of Lab49, a Wall Street consultancy. Andre has written several applications independently. His most recent personal project is a mobile photo sharing and social network, Gatsb.
Non-technical interests include organization (task management and user productivity tools), economics (especially macroeconomics), politics, psychology and social psychology, and business process.
Andre is currently attending NYU part time, working towards a degree in Economics or International Relations.
Personal interests include rowing, travel, nightlife, causing trouble and Tarrentino films.
